Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced on Tuesday that they will host Ireland in January next year for a three-game ODI run. The three-game ODI series begins on January 18, and the second and third games will be played on January 21 and 23, respectively. The matches are part of the ODI Super League. Earlier on November 5, the ACB announced that they have selected 25 female cricketers after a training camp and the selected ones will receive central contracts.
“To form a national women’s team, ACB had organized a training camp for 40 female cricketers, 25 of which were selected and will receive central contracts very soon. The training camp, held in accordance with Islamic and traditional Afghan values, closed today. During the camp, which started on October 17, players were trained in batting, bowling, fielding and to improve their physical fitness, “the ACB said in a statement.
