Aftab Shivdasani is the latest Bollywood actor to test positive for coronavirus. On Friday night, the actor announced that he had contracted the virus and that he was “warned in home quarantine.” Posting a statement on Twitter, Aftab Shivdasani wrote: “Hi everyone, I hope you are fit and well and taking care of yourself. I recently started showing minor symptoms of a dry cough and mild fever and got tested for COVID-19. Unfortunately the results were positive and low the medical supervision of doctors and authorities, I have been advised to do home quarantine. “
The 42-year-old actor added: “I ask all those who may have been in contact with me recently to get tested just to be safe. With your support and good wishes, I will recover soon and return to normal.” He also stressed in the practice of social distancing, the use of masks and the use of disinfectants. “I cannot emphasize more the need to be socially distant, wear masks and disinfectants as much as possible, as this can save lives. Aftab Shivdasani had resumed filming for the web series ZEE5 Poison 2. The actor is best known for his performances in films such as Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, Awara Paagal Deewana, Hungama and Masti, among others.
