Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took to social media to do a funny dig in Australia. Ajinkya Rahane scored a brilliant century helping his side take an 82 run lead on Day 2 of the ongoing second Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Kings XI Punjab’s (KXIP) battle coach took to Twitter and posted a meme captioned, “If you missed today’s play, here’s what happened #AUSvIND #INDvsAUS #BoxingDayTest #Rahane #Jadeja”.

In the meme, a man is seen boxing a kangaroo while the animal is left behind by the blow.

Rahane, who is captain of India in Virat Kohli’s absence, became the 12th Indian skipper to score a Test 100 in Australia and only the second Indian batsman after Vinoo Mankad to score two tons at the MCG.

Some of the Indian captains who score a Test 100 at the MCG are Kohli and Sourav Ganguly.

Despite most of India’s batting order falling cheaply to the Aussie bowling division, Rahane and Jadeja put in a brilliant performance helping the visiting side take the lead.

Rahane remained unbeaten after scoring 104 runs from 200 balls. He also hit 12 fours. Meanwhile, Jadeja was also unbeaten after registering 40 of 104 balls.

India finished with a score of 277 for five after 91.3 overs on stumps on Day 2.

The action will resume on Day 3, which begins Monday, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The hosts won the first test match and are currently leading the series of four matches 1-0.
