Team India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was seen bowling as well as hitting the nets in Australia ahead of the Boxing Day Test that kicks off on December 26. The match will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Jadeja was trained in a video uploaded on the official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). “Look, who’s in the nets again. @Imjadeja is here and has started preparations for Boxing Day,” read the caption on the Tweet.

Jadeja was injured in the T20 International series against Australia after being hit on the helmet by an episode of Mitchell Starc in the first game. He also sustained a hamstring injury in the same match.
Jadeja has since been inactive and looks like she is match-fit for the second test, even though India has been deflated from other injuries and a loss in the first test.
The visitors were defeated in the opening test of the four-match series at Adelaide Oval by a margin of eight wickets.
The Indian team will miss the services of skipper Virat Kohli for the remaining test matches.
Kohli has returned to India after receiving paternity leave from the BCCI.
Ajinkya Rahane will lead the team in Kohli’s absence.
Pacer Mohammed Shami is also expected to be ruled out for the remainder of the Test series after suffering an injury hitting in the opening test.
Shami was hit on the right arm by a short pitch by Pat Cummins in India’s second innings. He was forced to retire, hurt by the blow.
Rohit Sharma, who has been declared “clinically fit” by BCCI, will be assessed by team management after completing his quarantine period. After the assessment, a call will be issued regarding his participation in the series.
