Spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have now reunited after a temporary breakdown of their partnership. The duo represented several franchises during the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, forcing players to take an individualistic approach. While Chahal played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kuldeep was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team. But the “spin-twins” have reunited and are part of the Indian team, which is currently touring Australia. Chahal and Kuldeep were seen standing on a cricket ground with their arms around each other, in an image tweeted by the former on his official Twitter account. “Back with my brother @ imkuldeep18 and again on national duty for Flag of India # TeamIndia Flexed biceps #spintwins #kulcha,” read the caption.

Chahal impressed in the 13th edition of the IPL, finishing as one of the best wicket-takers of the season. The 30-year-old was good for 21 layoffs in 15 games with an average of 19.28 and a strike percentage of 16.33.

Chahal further maintained a decent economy of 7.08. RCB was eliminated in IPL 2020 in the Eliminator stage, following a defeat to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Kuldeep, on the other hand, struggled to perform in the limited opportunities presented. The 25-year-old only picked one wicket in five games, while rookie spinner Varun preferred Chakravarthy.

KKR failed to make it to the playoffs after an inferior net run rate, in a season where Dinesh Karthik was replaced halfway through by Eoin Morgan as skipper.
