Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg asked US voters on Saturday to vote for Joe Biden. The result of the US presidential election is crucial for combating climate change.
The 17-year-old founder of the Friday for the Future climate protests said on Twitter: “I never deal with party politics. But the upcoming US elections go beyond that.
“From a climatic point of view, this is far from sufficient and many of you naturally supported other candidates,” admitted Thunberg.
“But I mean … you know … damn it! Just organize yourself and let everyone vote for #Biden,” she added.
Biden challenges US President Donald Trump, who rejects warnings about climate change and rejects Thunberg.
“Greta has to work on her anger management problem and then go to a good old-fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, chill!” Trump tweeted once.
“She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future,” Trump tweeted again after Thunberg approached the United Nations with an angry challenge that resulted in the simple question, “How dare you? ” Was included.
Biden, on the other hand, turned to Thunberg and welcomed her commitment to the fight against climate change.
Last month, prestigious Scientific American magazine urged readers to vote for Biden on November 3, the first time in nearly 200 years that it had taken a political stance.
“Think about voting to protect science rather than destroy it,” said the editorial team in comments Thunberg sent along with their support.
