Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors were triumphant on Wednesday (local time) in their respective matches in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Trinbago Knight Riders defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 59 runs, while Guyana Amazon Warriors surpassed St Lucia Zouks by seven wickets here at Brian Lara Cricket Stadium. Trinbago tops the CPL standings with 16 points from eight games, while Guyana is in second place with 10 points from 9 games.

St Lucia is in third place, while St Kitts is languishing at the bottom.
In the game between Warriors and Zouks, the latter was the first to hit and managed to put down an undersized score of 109/7.
Javelle Glenn scored the highest score for Zouks playing an unbeaten knock of 23, while for Warriors Naveen-ul-Haq and Keemo Paul each scalped two wickets.
Warriors chased the target with 37 balls left and seven wickets in hand.
Shimron Hetmyer played an unbeaten knock of 56 when Warriors took a win by seven wickets.
On the other hand, in the match between Trinbago and Patriots, the former hit first, scoring 174/4 in the allotted twenty overs, while Lendl Simmons played an unbeaten knockout of 96 points.
Sikander Raza then took three wickets for Trinbago as the team comfortably defended the total to record a 59-point victory.
Trinbago has now recorded victories in all of their eight games so far in the CPL.
