President Donald Trump described the COVID-19 outbreak as a “terrible situation” and on Wednesday proposed in China that COVID-19 could spread outside Beijing while preventing it from spreading in his own country.
“We got together and what happened was that we were hit by the plague (COVID-19). We really got together and then we were hit by this terrible situation – it could have been stopped. China prevented it from occurring the rest of China, but they haven’t stopped it from coming to Europe, the US and the rest of the world, “Trump said here at a rally organized for his re-election to the presidency.
He added, “We’re putting it together now. We did it and now we’re doing it again and next year we will be stronger. The year ahead will be even better.”
The US president continued to target former Vice President and Democratic counterpart Joe Biden for supporting China’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), saying it was “a disaster for our nation”.
“We have created a record 11.4 million jobs since the China virus. We have halved the unemployment rate. We have fallen to 7.8 percent. Jobs have recovered 23 times than the Obama-Biden recovery,” he said.
“He supported NAFTA – a disaster, he supported China’s accession to the World Health Organization – a disaster for our nation. China is trying to get away with the fact that they are a developing nation. No more; if Biden wins, China wins. If Biden wins, will China own our country. “
The US presidential election is due to take place on November 3rd this year.
