Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took to Instagram on Tuesday after a victory against England in the second test of the ongoing series of four games. “The picture says it all,” read the caption to a post from the cricket player on the social media platform. The message included some photos of the game, with Ashwin in all of the images. The hosts emerged victorious by a margin of 317 points in the match held at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The triumph saw them draw at level 1-1 in the four-game run, after defeating England by 227 runs in the opening game of the longest format. Similarly, the opener took place at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Ashwin said he was grateful to everyone who wished for him during this test.
“I can’t express how I feel right now, but I’m so grateful to everyone who has wished me for the past few days. I also want to thank the #KnowledgableChennaiCrowd for appearing in numbers and making me feel like a hero,” his tweet.

Ashwin was named the player of the match for his impressive performance with both bat and ball in the second test. The 34-year old registered a five wicket in England’s first innings after India was eliminated for 329 in 95.5 overs.
The spinner’s performance helped the hosts fire the English batsmen for a total of 134. Ashwin made his presence felt with the bat in the second innings, scoring 106 from 148 deliveries, which consisted of 14 boundaries and a six. India posted a total of 286, while none of the other batsmen, except Virat Kohli, were able to make much of an impact, giving England a target of 482 runs.
Ashwin followed up with three wickets in the second innings, as England failed to exceed 200 runs in both innings after being thrown out for 164.
