Members of the England cricket team and support staff landed in Chennai on Wednesday in the run-up to the four-game test run against India. The first two tests of the four-game series will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, while Ahmedabad will host the remaining two games. News agency ANI posted some photos of Chennai airport. Photos show English players and staffers wearing masks and undergoing COVID-19 tests.

Most of the test pillars for England, including Stuart Broad and Jos Buttler, boarded straight from Sri Lanka after winning the two-game test series.
Both teams come into the series fresh from overseas victories. Despite losing most of their Test pillars through injuries, India managed to write a memorable series win Down Under.
On the other hand, thanks to a sublime hitter from their skipper Joe Root, England made light work of Sri Lanka.
Root hit 426 runs in four innings, including a double century in the first Test in Galle.
England chose to continue with their rotation policy and as a result visitors left Jonny Bairstow and Sam Curran for the first two Tests against India.
The England selection panel was heavily criticized by former cricketers for moving to rest star players for a major run in India.
However, England coach Chris Silverwood defended the decision, saying they should take care of their players.
“I am completely satisfied with the system we are currently using. I will stick with it. We have to take care of our people,” he said. “We spend a lot of time locked in hotel rooms in bio-secure bubbles and it’s not easy,” Silverwood had said.
