Hardik Pandya, the Indian all-rounder, took to Twitter on Thursday to share a few photos from Team India’s training in Chennai ahead of the opening game of the Test series against England. India will host England for a four-game test series starting Friday. The photos show Hardik hitting the nets and having a conversation with bowling coach Bharat Arun and pacemaker Jasprit Bumrah. Hardik was part of the 18-man test squad for the first two tests against England after missing the recent series in Australia.

“Back with #TeamIndia Back on home soil Back in red ball cricket“, Hardik wrote the photos with caption.

The flamboyant all-rounder was last seen in a test match long ago in September 2018 – a match that India lost by 60 points at Southampton.

Hardik, who had to undergo back surgery last year, still has to bowl for a long time – a factor that made him miss the recent Test Series Down Under.

The 27-year-old all-rounder also missed the home test against South Africa, Bangladesh and an away game in New Zealand early last year due to his back surgery.

During his last performance, Hardik was the standout performer for India in the limited overs stage of the Australia tour.

Fighting trouble, Hardik played as a specialist batsman in the series and left his mark by finishing as India’s leading three-game points scorer in the ODI series – winning Australia 2-1.

In the following T20I series, Hardik took some crucial blows as India took the series 2-1, earning him the Player of the Series award.
