Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Sunil Narine has again been reported for throwing during his team’s IPL match against Kings XI Punjab, and one more offense could result in him being banned from bowling again. “Sunil Narine, the Kolkata Knight Riders player, has been reported bowling with suspected illegal bowling action during his side’s Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 game against Kings XI Punjab in Abu Dhabi,” according to an IPL press release. The report was made by the field officials (Ulhas Gandhe and Chris Gaffaney) under the IPL policy for suspected illegal bowling action. Narine is placed on the warning list and is allowed to continue bowling in the tournament.
“Another report will result in Mr. Narine being banned from bowling in the Dream11 IPL 2020 until approved by the BCCI Suspect Bowling Action Committee,” the release said.
Narine has been reported several times for throwing and at one point was not allowed to bowl, after which he sharpened his decisiveness.
In the last two games, however, he was very difficult to pick, as Prabhsimran Singh and Nicholas Pooran discovered on death, when he finished with numbers of 2 for 28 and won an almost impossible match for his team.
