Ahead of the Qualifier 2 clash against Delhi Capitals in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Sunriser’s Hyderabad (SRH) spinner Rashid Khan said the team should just get the basics right on Sunday. Kane Williamson scored his 14th IPL half century while Jason Holder knocked cautiously as SRH kept its last hope alive after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) six wickets in the Eliminator at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Friday. Rashid said it was a difficult game and he tried to hit the right areas as he often gets crushed when throwing full length balls.
“It was tough, it had the same feel as the game against KXIP. A game that is Eliminator, and that pressure too. Thank goodness we won it. I just kept it really simple to myself, just hit a good area,” Rashid said after the match.
“As long as I hit that area, I’m good. I’ve watched my videos and analyzed that I’m usually hit when I get full. So I try to bowl the right areas. This wicket sometimes gets you a slipper,” he added to.
SRH now faces Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 on Sunday (November 8). The winner of that match will play the top clash against Mumbai Indians.
“Today it wasn’t, it was a little slow and didn’t skid as much as last time we played here. You just have to keep it simple, back from a length. We just have to get the basics right against Delhi and see what. happens, ”Rashid said.
