After taking an elaborate six-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Capitals’ assistant coach Mohammad Kaif praised Ajinkya Rahane, calling him the “ultimate role model for every youngster”. Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane chased 153 against RCB and formed a solid partnership for the second wickets for Delhi, with 54 and 60 respectively. Delhi won the match with six wickets with six balls left.
With this win, Delhi Capitals qualified for the playoffs and the team now has two chances to qualify for the final after finishing second on the points table.

Rahane has played six games so far in the current edition of the IPL, scoring 111 runs with an average of 18.50.
With this win, Delhi now plays against Mumbai Indians in the first qualifying match and the winner of that match will qualify directly for the final.
Previously, Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers played 50 and 35 respectively, while Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) scored a total of 152/7 in the allotted 20 overs.
For Delhi Capitals, Anrich Nortje scalped three wickets while Kagiso Rabada took two wickets.
