Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were eliminated in the IPL 2020 season after losing to SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) Friday night in the Eliminator. RCB’s trophy-free run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) continued with the team to secure the coveted prize. England cricketer Alexandra Hartley, who appears to be an RCB fan, took to Twitter to express her disappointment with the team’s departure. However, she had a poignant question, one that many RCB fans would ask: “Will we ever win a title?”
While many RCB supporters identified with Hartley, her England teammate, Kate Cross decided to have some fun.
In response to Hartley’s “Will we ever win a title?” post, Cross shot back by posting a photo of MS Dhoni in CSK jersey, with the words “Definitely Not” on it.
We made it a great game. @RCBTweets

On the pitch of Chennai Super Kings’ final IPL 2020 match, commentator Danny Morrison asked Dhoni, “Will this be your last match ever in yellow?” The CSK skipper reacted quickly and gave an emphatic two-word answer: “Absolutely not”.
Dhoni’s emphatic response went viral on the Internet and has now even been turned into a meme.
However, this is no laughing matter for RCB. The team has yet to win an IPL title, which must be frustrating for Captain Kohli, team management and the owners.
This season, RCB had a brilliant first half, and for much of IPL 2020, it was the team to beat alongside Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. However, towards the end, the results turned around and four consecutive losses left them on the brink.
However, they scraped into the playoffs on Net Run-Rate (NRR), far from the team that looked unbeatable at one point in time. The ending was also disappointing as the famous batting line-up didn’t come to the party when it mattered most, meaning RCB left the tournament after five consecutive defeats.
