Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma became the second player after MS Dhoni to play 200 games in the Indian Premier League when he took the field against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020 final on Tuesday. Rohit has been part of IPL since its inception in 2008 and has only played for two franchises. He started his IPL journey as a middle-order batsman with the now-defunct Deccan Chargers, winning his first IPL title in 2009.

Rohit Sharma was appointed captain of the Mumbai Indians in 2013 and led them in 116 matches, won 67 and lost 47 so far. He has won 60 percent of the matches he has led Mumbai Indians in, putting him at the top of the players who have led IPL teams in more than five matches.
During his stint with Mumbai Indians, he led them to four IPL titles. Interestingly, Rohit had reached the IPL finals five times prior to the current edition, emerging as the winner on every occasion.
