The flamboyant all-rounder Hardik Pandya is one of the Indian Premier League (IPL) biggest success stories. The big Mumbai Indians star first made a name for herself in the cash-rich competition and has become one of India’s biggest stars, especially in the shortest format. Ahead of the IPL’s 2021 season players auction on Thursday, Hardik took to social media to share a video showing a legacy interview from when he was a young boy looking to play for state and country and then to where he lives now.
“Never underestimate the power of your dreams. Blessed and grateful,” Hardik wrote with the video. “#IPLAuction always reminds me how far we’ve come,” he added, referring to his brother Krunal, who also plays for Mumbai Indians and the national team.
“I love you brother,” Krunal wrote in the comments.
The IPL 2021 players auction will take place in Chennai on Thursday, with 292 names going under the hammer.
There are 61 slots to be filled by the eight franchises as they are looking to strike the right balance for the 14th edition of the IPL.
Hardik and Krunal both starred in the previous season of the IPL, which was held in the United Arab Emirates amid the coronavirus pandemic, when Mumbai Indians won a record-breaking fifth title.
Mumbai Indians will enter the auction with a purse of Rs 15.35 crore to fill seven slots including four foreign players.
