Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell teased Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman on Wednesday, saying, “I taught him how to play reverse sweep.” Maxwell and Mujeeb played together for Kings XI Punjab in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League. The all-rounder had a bad run in the tournament, as he just managed to score 108 runs in 13 games and also failed to hit a single six for the first time in his eight seasons IPL career. Maxwell, who leads Melbourne Stars, has not missed a chance to pull off the spinner currently playing in the Big Bash League for the Brisbane Heat. Mujeeb played a reverse sweep on Rashid Khan on Wednesday in his team’s clash against Adelaide Strikers at The Gabba.

Mujeeb accumulated four runs from that shot, prompting Maxwell to take the credit.
I haven’t done much this last IPL but I’m pretty sure I taught Mujeeb how to play that reverse sweep #yourewelcomeheat

On Twitter, Maxwell wrote, “I haven’t done much this latest IPL, but I’m pretty sure I taught Mujeeb how to play that reverse sweep.”
Mujeeb scored 18 runs on 10 balls, including a six and two fours.
Skipper Jimmy Peirson’s 69 out of 36 went in vain when Heat fell three runs short of goal and lost the match by two runs.
Peirson’s knock, however, helped him win the Man of the Match prize.
Heat is at the bottom of the table with one point from three games, while Strikers are in third place with nine points from four games.
Hobart Hurricanes leads the table with 11 points.
