Articles in the weekly Mail on Sunday “disrupted this reasonable expectation”.

London:

Meghan Markle won a high profile violation of privacy lawsuit on Thursday after a UK newspaper published excerpts from a 2018 letter she wrote to her estranged father.

A London High Court judge said the Duchess of Sussex, who is married to Queen Elizabeth II’s grandson Prince Harry, has “a reasonable expectation that the contents of the letter would remain private”.

The articles in the weekly Mail am Sonntag “disrupted this reasonable expectation” and were illegal, Judge Mark Warby said in a ruling.
