Legendary tennis star Roger Federer’s strongest opponent on the court was finally revealed in a hilarious video from the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals. The franchise’s official Twitter handle spotlighted English cricketer Jos Buttler’s tough challenge to Federer in an entertaining video. Dressed in a T-shirt and shorts, Buttler looked good playing a wide variety of shots with the legendary Swiss being pushed hard. “When Roger Federer met his toughest opponent on the field. #HallaBol | @josbuttler | @rogerfederer,” the caption read on the video’s tweet.

The video began as Buttler completed a fine serve, which was edited while Federer responded with a strong return shot. What followed was a meeting between the two greats from different sports, albeit with some deft editing by Buttler’s IPL team. The video ended on a humorous note when Buttler came in with a smile on his face, apparently impressed during his brief stint while playing tennis.
Buttler was last seen in action at the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The English cricketer represented the Rajasthan-based franchise in IPL 2020, which took place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Buttler returned 328 runs from 13 games at 32.80 with a success rate of 144.49.
RR failed to make it into the playoffs and dropped out of the tournament with an embarrassing defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Buttler has played 47 tests, 145 one-day internationals and 71 Twenty20 internationals for England since making his international debut in a T20I against India in Manchester in 2011.
