Snehasish Ganguly, secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), underwent successful angioplasty at Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on Friday and is currently under observation. “CAB Secretary Snehasish Ganguly was admitted today at 11.20am. He had successful surgery and is being observed at Apollo Hospitals,” said CAB Co-Secretary, Debabrata Das.
On Jan. 12, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly’s brother consulted a doctor and his blood tests and cardiac CT angio revealed that he “needs angioplasty to revascularize and open the blood vessels to the heart.”

Earlier this month, Sourav Ganguly had undergone angioplasty at Woodlands Hospital. The former captain of India was admitted to hospital on January 2 at 1:00 pm with “chest discomfort, heavy head, vomiting and a bout of dizziness” while exercising at the home gym at around 11:00 am. After this, doctors had performed angioplasty on him.
