Kevin Pietersen took to Twitter on Saturday to share an email Rahul Dravid had sent him in an effort to help the former England batsman tackle spin bowling in Sri Lanka. Pietersen urged the English cricket council to print Dravid’s message and share it with Dominic Sibley and Zak Crawley, who are struggling to get started in the ongoing Test series in Sri Lanka. On day 2 of the second test, both English openers fell cheaply, causing visitors to falter at two to five.
For context, Pietersen had a hard time against Bangladeshi spinners on a series in 2010 and then decided to seek help from Dravid. The legendary Indian batsman explained the techniques to counter spinners in challenging conditions.
In the email, Dravid talked about different ways of dealing with spin bowling. He stressed the importance of not being on the front foot and worrying about getting hit every now and then.

“Crawley and Sibley should find the email Dravid sent me about playing spider. I changed my game,” Pietersen tweeted.
The former English batsman also said after sharing Dravid’s words that Crawley and Sibley can call him to discuss how to deal with spin.
Hello @matthews, print this out and give it to Sibley & Crawley.
They can call me to discuss it in detail if they want …!
