Mumbai police, who say the actor committed suicide, launched an investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in June. On August 19, the Supreme Court accepted the Bihar government’s recommendation that the Central Bureau of Investigation or CBI investigate the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The CBI has questioned actress Rhea Chakroborty and Rajput’s roommate Siddharth Pithani, among others, in connection with the investigation.
Sushant Singh Rajput debuted on the small screen with the 2008 show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil while he became a household name after playing the role of Manav in the Ekta Kapoor movie Pavitra Rishta for three years. He left the show to join Bollywood.
