The meeting was supposed to take place in May of this year. It was supposed to be an unscripted exclusive special on the HBO Max streaming platform. However, it was modified due to the coronavirus pandemic. Jennifer Aniston and others F.R.I.E.N.D.S stars shared program posters and announced the meeting by writing, “It’s happening.”
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the game changer FRIENDS is without a doubt one of the most popular sitcoms in history. The show first aired in 1994 and ran for 10 blockbuster seasons. 25 years later, it’s still a hit on streaming platforms.
FRIENDS made stars of its six lead actors: Jennifer Aniston as Rachel, Courteney Cox as Monica, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe, David Schwimmer as Ross, Matthew Perry as Chandler and Matt Leblanc as Joey. The comedy followed the lives of six friends living in New York as they navigated personal and professional joys and tribulations, many of which converged around a coffee shop called Central Perk.
