Twitter Flags Donald Trump’s tweet for misleading content about the number of US votes

2020 US Elections: Trump’s tweet states that votes received after election day in the US will not be counted

Twitter Inc announced a post from President Donald Trump on Thursday that votes received in the U.S. after election day will not be counted.

The company has tagged several tweets sent by Trump in the past few days to warn users that information is controversial and potentially misleading as he battles Democratic rival Joe Biden to keep his place in the White House.

Trump’s last tweet, which got the label on Thursday, said, “EVERY VOTE THAT COMES AFTER ELECTION DAY WILL NOT BE COUNTED!”

In US elections, it is normal for states to count votes for days or even weeks after the vote ends on election day.
