Usain Bolt took to social media to share a video of him playing cricket with his friends. Known as an avid cricket fan, the Jamaican has expressed his love for the sport several times. In the video, Bolt faces two deliveries and defends the first ball. This is followed by a cover drive on the second ball that makes his friends cheer. “I’m too fast, man,” Bolt exclaimed, enjoying his shot. The video was well received by his fans, with many praising the recording. He posted the video on Instagram and captioned it as “A hold vibe”.

Meanwhile, another fan wrote, “Bolt quick to guard wickets”.

“Should have become a pro cricketer instead,” wrote another fan.

Bolt retired from his professional athletics career in 2017 and has been enjoying his life ever since. Bolt is also a football fan and has trained after his retirement with Bundesliga kit Borussia Dortmund, among others. He also had a trial with an Australian football club.

Bolt is considered the greatest sprinter of all time and holds the world record in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.

He is also an eight-time Olympic gold medalist and is the only sprinter to have won Olympic 100 m and 200 m gold medals at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012 and 2016).


In 2020 Bolt also became a father for the first time and welcomed a daughter together with partner Kasi Bennett.

He had also tested positive for COVID-19 that year, but recovered later.
