Supernovas beat Trailblazers by two runs in Match 3 of Women’s T20 Challenge at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Saturday and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur praised her bowlers for performing under pressure in a must-win match. “It was very close. Hats off to our bowlers, they drank from the pressure and bowled to their fields. Every game you play, you want to win,” Harmanpreet told host Star Sports after the game.

“At the start we got, we looked at at least 160, but we knew the ball was spinning and our spinners will come into play,” she added.

Harmanpreet explained the reason why she did not give the ball to Poonam Yadav, despite having three overs.

“Both left-handers took to the bat and that’s why we went for the off-spinner,” she said.

Supernovas will now face Trailblazers in the tournament finals on Monday, November 9.

“Today there was not much dew. We will do our best and with this victory there is great confidence”, the skipper said after the victory.
